Cleartherm Glass Sealed Units was established in 1988. Back then, five employees manually produced 400 sealed units per week. Our reputation for quality and reliability grew steadily and by 2003 we had twelve employees producing 1,400 sealed units a week. Today, our well-trained and experienced workforce produces over 4,000 units per week from our 15,000 sq. ft. Leicestershire headquarters.
Current legislation specifies a minimum Window Energy Rating of C (or a whole element U-Value of 1.6Wm2k or better) and all our products will help you to meet or exceed these requirements.
In fact, many of our products can be used to achieve WERs of A and A+, helping you to keep pace with the growing demand for energy efficient and environmentally responsible solutions.
A state-of-the-art company
To maintain quality and meet growing demand we have invested over one million pounds in state-of-the-art technology including a glass toughening plant and an automated IGU line. Two fully computerised cutting tables offer 100% accuracy and allow us to batch jobs for maximum efficiency. We stock a wide range of glass from Pilkington, AGC and Saint Gobain, so our quality can be matched with a rapid turnaround. We pride ourselves on the cutting edge technologies we use, but we also pride ourselves on the quality of the service we provide.
